1. Read your favourite news clips from the English newspaper aloud.

2. Focus on creating similes of your own.

3. Learn the translations of a few of your often used proverbs and idioms.

4. Form conversation clubs with friends who would discuss current topics in English.

5. Listen to radio BBC

6. View Discovery and History TV in English or Hindi with English subtitles.

7. Try to translate Hindi samachar as the newsreader speaks into English etc.

8. Whenever you do not find an exact translation for a phrase in Hindi, write it down and ask your English teacher to translate it for you.

9.Listen to news and debates in English.

10. Get CDs teaching spoken English and listen to them.
